Linn Kan II speakers (sold)

S/N: 0487xx Bi-wire version-Best to go "Active"with any Snaxo 2-4/ Snaxo 2-4-2 X`over!  or Bi-amping with a Pair of Nap110,i have these kit to support such"Bi-amping" or "Activation" project.


Generally have not much have to say to Naim buffs,it was the creation when Linn-Naim was working closed together .
It is inspired by the LS3/5A BBC monitors.unlike normal LS3/5A,exceptional results when Kans is paired with a Naim power amp or any quality solid state amps and Valves with adequate stable power.
Like SHL5,this baby started to eat noddles with Quad 606,Nap250 or as little as Nait 2.

It was born in the era of much-talked about - Isobarik [DMS/PMS,Sara9] these speakers are so musical and so good at expressing Rythm,Pace,timing that within seconds tapping your feet unconsciously to the music. B110 has been one of the most loved mid range drive units ever made to date and the B110s are a special TIMELESS CREATURE!
There are MK1 or MK2[Bi-wired] available,do not believe people saying which one are better,as they don't sound alike and are effectively different speakers with a very different crossover,and look-wise virtually the same.

It is a very rare[Mk2],Light Rosewood finished.Mint.Beautiful cosmetic.
Note: This a later Kan Mk2s with the Hiquphon tweeter more SUPERB in relation to the early KANs with Scanspeak tweeter! Same as Sara 9 as the components improved the speakers sounded lot better.

Setup tips
Set it up against a solid wall on a stands, you will get a lot of impact, great attack, rhythmic drive.slam and real tout bass. Dont judge the book by its cover, they are so small but with a big,big borderless sound. Most listener will get their jaws drop off,eyes pop out off the skull after listening to these babies. These guy sing with an wide open mouths & they are almost unbeatable on Pace then Rogers LS3/5A.

My packaging is very overlydo robust[overworked] ,oversized,abusively & intelligently padded, strong and perfectly specified for long distance shipping. However, I cannot guarantee safe delivery by any courier, as i can not assure if the item can be survived due to plane crash.Or Delivery crash or any sort of accidents. BUT there are[ absolutely] safe even the posman throwing within 1meter range in any direction. I am very sure Mistake can be avoided,I learnt heavily of my Naim equipment posted to SABAH. oh Sara hey...
and i even seen some POSTman throw my Naim to my front door.i never accused him,because the package was solidly packed. Although he is illiterated for the " Fragile" sticker.I pardon him,at least he makesure he did not involved in an accident during disptach which i could have lost my Precious equipment.

Expect the worst to happen, in my experience ANG MO fella lagi worst,they are tall and strengthfull,they throw my item without mercy.Some totally gone-case when it arrives me..The transformer also macam nak tercabut..who would believe this can happen ?talk like a fool like talking why my baby drooled.

the linn kan2 which i owned is very different than most other Kans,it has its tweeter  housed in a slightly protruded housing. In my opinion they are Extremely rare and for especially for collectors !

I also have another bad condition pair KAN1 to listen too.Besides i have other  Saras taking turn to polish my ears,Hence i am not too worry to sell it.

Dont ask me which Kan1 or Kan2 to choose, it is like asking which Naim series sounds better-CB or Olive?  My answer is buy both still save you a fortune than buying a little ls3/5a.

Most Kan buff reject Ls3/5 and on contrary most Ls3/5 buff reject Linn Kans.  Both camp can not live together.

30years later,some can accept both especially those who want the BBC sound but unwillingly to part high price on a similar size ally Rogers.

to reinstate,as mentioned i am looking at cash deal,both of them @Rm3000 ONO.
Those of us who have been around with Naim may have worked entire life struggling to setup a optima system only to have more success when they executed with the right speakers and LINN is one the team member.

However naimsee acknowledged that words on a slide weren't going to change anything unless you guys need to PM out and seize the opportunity and to acknowledge the potentials[returns].

LS3/5s salivates many many people over its sound, same like KANs the more you listen to it the more you will fall in love with it, well that's my experience of linn anyway, I have never tired of the sound.
spent a lot of time AB'ing the Kan1 with the kan2 and the Kan2 is definitely a cut above due to improved drivers they used.
