Active and passive cones
Inside its compact cabinet, the REL T9 uses a downward- firing, active 10" bass cone paired with a forward-firing, passive 10" cone. Together these cones offer a surface area equivalent to a 15" bass cone. What this means for the sound is deep, effortlessly powerful bass that's loud enough to get your household an ASBO!

300W of bass power
Keeping the downward-firing bass cone under tight control is REL's tried and tested 300W Class A/B amplifier. REL has used traditional Class A/B transistor design and although more expensive to produce, the upshot is class-leading attack and control. Unlike lesser subs, the bass starts and stops exactly when it should with superb agility and no 'overhang'. An extra-large heatsink on the rear keeps the T9 cool, for years of reliable performance.

Separate inputs for hi-fi and home cinema
Traditionally, the problem with using a sub with both home cinema and music systems is the difference in presence required. Films often require the sub to be turned up for the greatest thrills, while music demands a more subtle approach. With the REL T9 you not only have separate inputs for high and low level sources you also have separate level controls for stereo and LFE .1 surround, so you get the ideal levels for both hi-fi and AV.
